1. Erupting Volcano Experiment 🌋

What You’ll Need:

• A small plastic bottle
• Baking soda (4-5 tablespoons)
• Vinegar (1 cup)
• Dish soap (a few drops)
• Red food coloring (optional)
• Playdough or clay (to shape your volcano)

How to Do It:

1. Place the plastic bottle on a tray or plate.
2. Use playdough or clay to shape a mountain around the bottle.
3. Add baking soda inside the bottle.
4. Mix vinegar with dish soap and food coloring in a separate cup.
5. Pour the vinegar mixture into the bottle and watch your volcano erupt! 🚀

Science Behind It:
The reaction between baking soda (a base) and vinegar (an acid) produces carbon dioxide gas, creating the bubbling eruption!

👉 Challenge: Try using different amounts of vinegar and baking soda to see how big an eruption you can make!

2. DIY Slime Experiment 🧪

What You’ll Need:

• White glue (½ cup)
• Baking soda (½ teaspoon)
• Contact lens solution (1 tablespoon)
• Food coloring (optional)

How to Do It:

1. Pour white glue into a mixing bowl.
2. Add baking soda and mix well.
3. Add food coloring if you want a colorful slime.
4. Slowly add the contact lens solution while stirring until it forms slime.
5. Knead the slime with your hands until it’s stretchy and smooth.

Science Behind It:
The borate ions in the contact lens solution react with the glue, creating long polymer chains—this is what makes slime stretchy and gooey!

👉 Fun Tip: Try adding glitter or glow-in-the-dark paint for an extra cool effect!

3. Magic Milk Experiment 🎨

What You’ll Need:

• A plate
• Milk (full-fat works best)
• Dish soap
• Food coloring
• Cotton swab

How to Do It:

1. Pour milk into a plate, covering the bottom.
2. Add drops of different food coloring to the milk.
3. Dip a cotton swab into dish soap and touch the milk’s surface.
4. Watch the colors swirl and dance like magic! ✨

Science Behind It:
Dish soap breaks down the fat in milk, causing the food coloring to spread and move in mesmerizing patterns.

👉 Experiment More: Try using different types of milk (skim, almond, etc.) and see how the reaction changes!

4. Invisible Ink Experiment 🕵️‍♂️

What You’ll Need:

• Lemon juice
• Cotton swab
• White paper
• A lamp or iron

How to Do It:

1. Dip the cotton swab in lemon juice and use it to write a secret message on paper.
2. Let it dry completely.
3. Hold the paper near a warm lamp or iron over it (with adult supervision).
4. Your message will magically appear!

Science Behind It:
Lemon juice oxidizes when heated, turning brown and revealing the hidden message!

👉 Spy Challenge: Try writing secret codes for your friends to decode!
